Gideon Z. Friedman
Chief Executive Officer
Since joining Beachwold in 2010, Gideon has organized dozens of partnerships to acquire multifamily properties across the country. He oversees the analysis, financing and closing process for new acquisitions and the ongoing asset management of over 14,000 apartments nationwide. Prior to joining Beachwold, he was Director of Planning and Research at the Alliance for Downtown New York, the business improvement district for Lower Manhattan. He graduated from Brown University with a degree in Urban Studies.
Chief Operating Officer
Kate joined Beachwold in 2016. From 2011 through 2015, Kate served as senior director of Columbia University’s leading research center in real estate investment and finance, the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate. In years’ prior, Kate devoted a decade of her career to economic development in New York City. From 2001 to 2008, as a member of the Alliance for Downtown New York’s executive management team, she led initiatives to retain and grow the business community after the 9/11 terror attacks. From 2008 to 2011, she promoted economic activity and public infrastructure investment along Brooklyn’s historic waterfront as executive director of the DUMBO Business Improvement District. Kate began her career at AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. She received her B.A. from Brown University, her J.D. from New York Law School, and a certificate in business excellence from Columbia Business School. She is a longtime member of New Yorkers for Parks’ Directors Council and an active member of the WX Executive Women in Real Estate.
Chuck has been a real estate attorney and real estate industry executive for over 30 years. Prior to his current position, he was a partner at the New York law firm Wachtel & Missry LLP, and from 1998 through 2009, he was the head transactional attorney and Executive Vice President of Tarragon Corporation, a New York based publicly traded homebuilding, multifamily and mixed-use development, operating and management company. Chuck is a licensed New York real estate broker, is licensed to practice law in New York, and is a graduate of the NYU School of Law.
Executive Vice President
Since 1983, Bob has supervised the planning, construction and management of five hotels, 12 condo developments and three multifamily properties, first as VP at Conservation Homes and then as General Manager of Myers Northeast. He joined Tarragon Corporation in 1998 and built two luxury properties in Connecticut while implementing several rehabilitation projects. Today, he oversees Beachwold's asset management division and is responsible for over $30 million in annual capital spending and several large-scale renovations. He holds a business degree from the University of New Haven.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 30 years of broad strategic, financial and operational experience across real estate development and management, Bud leads the accounting and financial operations of Beachwold. Prior to joining Beachwold, Bud was the CFO of Tarragon Corporation’s Homebuilding division. Bud also spent 20 years in multifamily management as the CAO and Controller of The Altman Companies and VP for asset management and financial analysis at CRI, Inc. He is a CPA and has a BS in Accounting with a minor in Economics from Virginia Tech.
Vice President, Asset Management
Dan directs Beachwold's capital improvement programs and works closely with on site teams to develop efficient means of operation. Since joining Beachwold in 2011, he has facilitated several value-add projects with an emphasis on revenue growth. He previously held construction management positions at Northland Investment Corporation and Tarragon Corporation. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies.
Bev Ferguson has been actively involved in property management for more than 25 years. She first became involved in apartment management while attending Sacramento State University, where she obtained her BS Degree in Business Management.
As President of South Oxford Management, Bev leads the company in its national operations. Prior to joining SOM, since 1992, Bev led US Residential Group and its predecessor, Pacific West Management’s, management of portfolios throughout the Southwest, Midwest, Northeast, and Sunbelt states, which included most of Beachwold’s properties in the region.
